Marianna Anaya

Before taking office, Representative Marianna Anaya spent her career as an advocate and organizer, fighting for workers' rights and abortion access. In the Legislature, she leads on survivors' justice, serves on the Epstein Truth Commission, and pushes for universal health care that takes medical decisions from insurance companies and returns them to patients and doctors. In her first year, she earned Freshman Legislator of the Year from the UNM Alumni Association, Legislator of the Year from the Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs, and Equality New Mexico's Legislative Badass of the Year.
