Shirley Edmondson

Shirley Edmondson is a memoirist, poet,  and workshop facilitator. Her work appears in Santa Fe Literary Review (Vol. 19, 2024) and the New Mexico/Arizona Book Award–winning anthology One Albuquerque: One Hundred Poets. She co‑authored the Santa Fe Arts & Culture Department’s 2024 Art Is the Solution grant, Black in Santa Fe: Seen and Unseen, and co‑wrote the film script in 2025.

As Poet in Residence at Vital Spaces, she published chapbooks entitled “The Pith of Tangerines” and “Time Sensitive”. Shirley leads creative writing workshops and performs spoken word poetry nationwide.
