Artists, authors, poets, filmmakers, and musicians know that art and stories shape the culture we live in. This conversation brings together women creatives to question who gets to tell the story, challenge the narratives we’ve inherited, and celebrate the ways the arts continue to change New Mexico—a look at the creative voices pushing boundaries, shifting perspectives, and imagining what comes next.

The climate crisis is too big for any one sector to solve. Across New Mexico, women are reimagining how we build, grow, create and care for our communities and the land. What happens when business, conservation, culture and community connect? This conversation explores the power of collaboration between these sectors and how we can move beyond individual solutions to build, fund, protect and create the systemic change the climate crisis demands.

Don’t Pass the Torch. Build a Bigger Fire.
We often talk about women’s movements as though one generation eventually needs to “pass the torch” to the next. But that metaphor assumes one generation owns the movement and another is waiting to inherit it. What if, instead, we built something bigger together? A cross-generational, facilitated interactive conversation across generations about what women have fought for, what still needs fighting for, and how we can share wisdom, challenge one another, and create the future side by side.

Climate Crisis: Defenders of Our Lands
How do we create a culture where everyone gets to thrive? From water protectors to land defenders, women across New Mexico are fighting for the places that sustain us. Challenging extraction, protecting sacred lands and waterways, restoring ecosystems, and carrying forward ways of knowing that remind us that the land is not a resource—it is a relationship. What can we learn about what it takes to defend a place in a time of climate crisis? And what can we do to support the women already doing it?

What does it actually mean to be a good man right now? A candid, sometimes uncomfortable conversation about masculinity, power, accountability, and the work of becoming a better ally. What are men willing to unlearn? What are they ready to take responsibility for—and how do we create a culture where everyone gets to thrive?

Women spend decades fighting to find their voice and power. Why does the world begin making them invisible just as they acquire both? This candid, cross-generational, facilitated interactive conversation goes beyond menopause to explore what happens in midlife and beyond—physically, professionally, financially, sexually, emotionally, and socially. What if we talked about aging before we got there? And what could we change now so the next generation of women inherits a very different experience of growing older?

For one hour, the spotlight belongs to women who are building, running, creating, caring, and changing things across New Mexico. Women who lead businesses, nonprofits, creative ventures, and community organizations take the stage for three minutes each to tell us what they’re doing, why it matters, and what they want us to know.
No panels. No PowerPoints. No long introductions. Just women with a story, an idea, a mission, or a dream—and three minutes to make us care. Find out how you can help their work bloom.
